Banks in the UAE usually prefer “listed employers” because they are pre-verified and considered low-risk.

BUT you can still get a credit card even if your company is not listed.

You just need to follow the right approach and pick the right bank/product type.

  1. Choose Banks That Accept Non-Listed Companies

Some banks in the UAE offer credit cards without requiring the employer to be on their approved list.

Examples include:

Emirates NBD accepts non-listed employers with additional income proof

ADCB often allows non-listed employer applicants

Mashreq Bank has salary transfer and fixed deposit based options

RAKBANK flexible for small company employees

FAB allows non-listed companies for selected cards

  1. One of These 3 Methods to Qualify

Option A: Salary Transfer Account (Easiest Approval)

If you agree to transfer your salary to the bank every month, they often ignore the employer listing issue.

3 to 6 Months Bank Statements: This is nonnegotiable. The statement must show the salary being credited as “Salary” or “Wages” (WPS). Always Transfer your salary through WPS (Exchanges)

Requirements:

 Valid Emirates ID

 Salary certificate

 Minimum salary (usually AED 8,000)

This works especially well with these Banks:

Emirates NBD,

ADCB,

Mashreq Bank

Option B: Fixed Deposit / Secured Credit Card (100% Approval)

If your company is not listed and income is difficult to verify, the fastest method is

Open a Fixed Deposit Get a Credit Card limit equal to your deposit.

Example:

Min Deposit AED 10,000 they issue you a credit card with a limit of usually 90-95% of that deposit

Banks offering secured cards:

 Mashreq Bank

 RAKBANK

 FAB

 ENBD

Benefits

Guaranteed approval

Builds your credit score

You can upgrade to an unsecured card after 6–12 months

Option C: Provide Strong Alternative Income Proof

6 months bank statements

Labour contract + salary certificate

Proof of regular income ( freelance, commissions )

AECB credit score report ( AECB credit score min 651 )

  1. Meeting the Minimum Salary Requirement

Even for non-listed companies, you must meet minimum salary criteria:

AED 8,000 to 10,000 most standard cards

AED 15,000+ premium cards

  1. What Documents You Need

 Emirates ID

 Passport + Visa copy

 Salary certificate

 Last 3–6 months bank statements

 Labour contract

AECB Credit Report (bank will pull automatically and Credit Score is required min 651)

  1. Tips to Increase Your Approval Chances

Apply at banks known for flexibility

Keep your bank statements clean (no returned cheques, no negative balance)

Maintain a stable job (4 to 6 months minimum)

Avoid applying at too many banks at once (affects AECB score)
